Mr Japanization is a medium completely independent of the outside commercial world, and its goal is to activate the community by presenting the real Japan.

We hope that the French-speaking audience will learn the deeper story of kintsugi, including how labor-intensive the process is and how beautiful the pieces are as a result.

In fact, we have many French students at our Tokyo Kintsugi Workshop TSUGU TSUGU. (There is a French embassy in Hiroo, so I believe there is a French community.)

Tsugu Tsugu offers authentic kintsugi lessons in English once a week at the Ebisu studio and Asakusa studio, respectively. There, you can bring your own broken vessels and repair them little by little by yourself under the teacher’s guidance. You will need to attend at least five classes to complete the kintsugi process, but you can work on multiple vessels at the same time.

If it is available with the teacher, a one-hour kintsugi workshop can be conducted in English.
